Freddie surprised me and Guinness by counting jumps last night. She counted to 13! This morning she repeated the performance. I don’t know where she learned 11, 12, and 13.

Serious brain freeze.

In other news, Freddie gave up her pacifier last night. She cried a bit but it wasn’t too bad. She found one this morning and said “I have to throw it away. I’m a big girl now”.

Yesterday I told her to throw one away and she said “but I want to keep it”. She knows now what she is supposed to do. Doesn’t mean she has to like it. She threw it away and cried for just a few minutes.

This morning Freddie and I cut the nipple off one. I let her keep that one. She likes to hold it.

She is such a good baby….big girl.

Our friends Steve and Alice just had twins!  I’ve seen the pictures and they are beautiful!  I can’t wait to meet them.

Our vacation is over :(  and we made it back from Disney World just fine.  We drove like mad and made it home super quick.

 
Our Christmas was fantastic.  Freddie got more presents than seems possible and she loves them all.  She’s been having a grand time in her play room with all the new toys.  Freddie currently has 5 teeth with a 6^th about to break the surface.  She’s 28 inches tall and weighs 19.75 lbs.  She’s just learned to scrunch her nose up when she smiles and thinks it’s really funny. 

 
Today we went down to my Grandparent’s house in Lodi for one final Christmas celebration.  It was wonderful to see everyone again but Guinness and I were hoping to drive up to Jenner and left the party quite early.  Once home we decided we should probably spend the next few days cleaning up the colossal mess we made over the holidays.  What with unpacking from the trip and opening piles of presents, the house is in quite a state of disarray.  I wish we were going to Jenner though…I could use a vacation after my vacation.
 

In other news, my cousin Suzanne who was due to have her baby February 14th ended up having a Christmas Eve baby instead.  Suzie’s blood pressure was extremely high…to the point the doctors decided the baby was safer outside the womb.  They took baby Georgia Abigail Harper by C-section at 32 weeks on December 24, 2007 at 5:22 pm.  She weighed in at 3 pounds, 4 ounces and was 16 1/2 inches tall.  Mother and baby are doing fine but remaining in the hospital for a while.

Guinness and I celebrated our 2^nd wedding anniversary a touch early. Friday night, Freddie stayed with my Mom. It was our first night apart ever. We all did surprisingly well. Guinness, of course, was fine. He missed her but wasn’t as paranoid as I was. I only called to check in 3 times! Freddie was fine. Grandma however, didn’t get much sleep.

Guinness and I went to California Fat’s. One of our first dates was there. It was really strange to just leave the house without a baby, car seat and assorted equipment. We had a lovely dinner and in the morning decided to go out to breakfast too.

Freddie was happy, but not especially happy to see me when I picked her up. I wasn’t sure if she even realized she’d been at Grandma’s for longer than normal. I think she must know though because since then she cries and panics a bit whenever I leave the room. She also clings like a monkey when I put her to bed. Last night she seemed afraid to go to sleep. She barely napped all day and still didn’t fall asleep till 9:30. I knew she was tired and she’d sleep long. She slept all through the night…11 hours straight. That’s a record for her.

Tomorrow, October 15^th, is our actual anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 whole years already. A fantastic 2 years!

I have such a wonderful little family. I’m so happy!
