I’m Crazy…Baby is Fine.

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

I’ve been at the new job for a few days now and I just love it!  I’m still settling in, but I can tell it’s going to be great here.  I do miss the people at my old job.

Hi to everyone over at Prudential Midtown!

Monday I freaked myself out a bit too much.  I hadn’t been feeling too good over the weekend and started worrying about the baby.  It seemed to me she hadn’t been moving quite as much as normal.  I called the advice nurse at Kaiser, expecting to hear her say I was freaking out over nothing.  Instead she asked me to come in.  That made me panic a bit.  I went in same day and they checked everything out.  She’s fine.  I’m fine.  Everything is good.  I’m a dork.

They told me I did the right thing by going in though.  It’s hard to tell if you’re freaking out over nothing or if it really is something.  I got to hear the baby’s heart again.  Doc said her heart sounded great.

I’m making Guinness crazy.  : (  He always tells me what I should be doing before the Doc does.  This time it was eat good-for-you foods and drink lots of water.  I’m still having trouble getting the veggies into my diet.  I don’t like them.

Guinness and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday.  We went to a nice dinner at Michelangelo’s, one of our favorite midtown restaurants, and then spent a quiet evening at home.  We were both feeling just a bit under the weather but still had a nice time.  It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since the wedding.  On the other hand I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever.  February seems so far away.  I can’t wait!  At least there are lots of fun holidays to distract me until then.

A Day in the Life

My life will soon be changing. My wonderfully Daddy has just offered me a job at his office. It’s a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait to start. I gave my 2 weeks notice this morning at Prudential. I’ll start work with Dad just as soon as they find someone to replace me here. Guinness, baby and I will be able to keep medical benefits with no lapse in coverage and the pay will be a bit better too. Yay!

Thank you Daddy!
