She rolled over the other day from her back to her stomach. Even as an accident it’s pretty impressive for a 7 week old baby. She’s so strong.

Freddie’s adjusting to work rather well. She’s generally a very good girl in the office. Grandma and Grandpa seem to love seeing her every day. My brother Tom likes her too but is still adjusting to the frequent crying spells. Thankfully they generally don’t last too long.

Yesterday I took Winifred to visit her Great Grandma and Grandpa Underhill. We had a nice long visit but Freddie slept through most of it. She slept nearly all day yesterday and not quite as much as I would have liked last night…still more than I expected though. She’s been awake quite a lot today so hopefully we’ll have a good night tonight.

I’m so sleepy. I took the day off to rest but unfortunately her day time naps today have been 20 min long max. I’ll try to get to bed early.

I went back to work last Monday. Freddie came with me and it seems to be working out well. I was however more exhausted than I’d imagined I could be at the end of each day. I’m only working part time right now, but anything with a new baby is quite a challenge.

Freddie only threw a few fits this week at work. She saved up a lot of her screaming for at home. Poor Guinness generally sees only the crazy screaming baby instead of the sweet smiling cooing baby. Oh…she’s smiling now! Super cute big smiles. She also seems to slowly be learning that her hands are under her control. She’ll occasionally reach out to touch a face or a toy. It might still just be coincidence…I can’t really tell. The smiles though are real. She also likes to look at herself in the mirror. The first time she made eye contact with herself she stopped cold and stared for several seconds.
